Killer Robots Come True?

If you watch T.V or watch movies, you probably have seen a killer robot movie or episode where robots try to take over the world or something that is related to that, have you ever though to yourself, that would never happen in real life, well you might be wrong.

A designer named James Auger worked with designer Jimmy Loizeau to build 5 robots that eat vermin, like mice and flies, and even eats flesh. These pests are lured in and digested by an internal microbial fuel cell. This uses the way microbes generate free electrons and hydrogen ions when oxidising chemicals for energy. Electronics can be powered by directing the electrons around an external circuit before bring them together with the ions. Although, for now, the robots rely on mains power, James Auger believes they could become self-sufficient.

Entropia Universe Review

Entropia universe is a unique mmo that has a real cash economy, this means players can change US dollars in PED's which are entropian currency and back to US dollars again if they wish. This game has various unique features such as hunting, shopping, mining, and in game events where players can compete for PED's or rare equipment. The exchange of entropia universe rate is 10 PED=1 USD.

New players of entropia universe will have a hard time making PED's in the beginning if they do not deposit money into the game, but eventually making PED's will become easier, new players that do not deposit can walk up to a monster and collect sweat, this is how most non-deposit players make PED's, in the beginning it will take a while to make your first PED, maybe even 2 days, but as your sweat collecting rank increase you start to collect sweat faster. For players that do deposit, you can spend your PED's on hunting gear such as guns and armor and hunt animals, or you can mine for minerals after buying mining equipment and explosives.

Some of the best players in Entropia also host hunting events where the best hunter is rewarded with prizes and PED. Players can also own land and collect taxes from loot other players gain from hunting or mining in their land. A famous gamer who has mad a living from playing entropia universe is Jon "Neverdie" Jacobs who purchased a virtual asteroid for $100,000 and has already earned back the investment and is earning a 6 figure or even 7 figure salary a year. I would rate this mmo a 8.5 out of 10 because it is very unique and starts to become very interesting

Exponential Growth of Information Technology

Hello everyone! Today I will be blogging a particularly exciting topic, it is about the exponential growth of information technology, I know it sounds boring but keep reading it will get interesting. Famous futurist Ray Kurzweil who has predicted the rise of the Internet, invented the first music synthesizer capable of recreating the grand piano and other orchestral instruments, first text-to-speech synthesizer, and other inventions, predicts by 2045 a world-altering event will occur that will change the course of human history called the Singularity.

The Singularity occurs as artificial intelligences surpass human intelligence and technological development is taken over by machines and enters a "runaway reaction" of self-improvement, with each new generation of A.I.s appearing faster and faster until technological advancement is explosive and we no longer comprehend the rate of advancement.

Of course the Singularity won't happen suddenly out of nowhere, from present day to sometime around 2045 advancements in technology will take place. Some things Ray Kurzweil predicts is that by 2020 personal computers will have the same processing power as human brains, by 2020 nanomachines will be used for medical purposes drastically extending human lifespan,virtual reality will be so high-quality that it will indistinguishable from reality, nanorobots capable of entering the bloodstream will feed cells and extract waste making food consumption obsolete, Kurzweil even predicts humans will become immortals by 2040 at the latest!

Of course how will all these advancements happen so fast if we don't even have nanorobots or computers that are even half as powerful as the human brain? Well exponential growth will cause technological advancement to become faster and faster as the example shown shown below.

These graphs predict the exponential growth of the past and future, the 1st graph shows the exponential growth of number of calculations of CPU's in the past and the 2nd graph shows the exponential growth of computing in the past to the future. Will There Be Virtual Reality In The Near Future?

Chances are that if you are a gamer you have wished you could just put on a suit and enter a virtual environment where you can be fully immersed, instead of having to control your character with a mouse or game controller. Well your in luck, because with the current speed of advancing technology fully immersing virtual reality will likely be possible, technology such as motion tracking, head-mounted displays, mind reading technology, and nanotechnology.

Yes, I said nanotechnology, futurists like Ray Kurzweil predict that by the end of the next decade at the latest we will already have full-immersion visual-auditory environments, where images are written on our retinas, by our eye glasses, or contact lenses, and enter realistic environments either by ourselves or with other real people. By 2030 nanorobots will be the size of human blood cells and will take close proximity to your interneuronal connections and will direct them making you think you really are not in a game but in the "real world" creating a truly immersing virtual environment.

Wolfram Alpha answer machine

Today I won't be reviewing a game, but introducing a new answer machine named Wolfram Alpha.



What is Wolfram Alpha?



Wolfram Alpha is a computational knowledge engine that draws on multiple sources to answer user questions directly instead of providing a list of documents or web pages that might contain the answer like a search engine might. Wolfram Alpha launched May 15, 2009 and is accessible by the public. WolframAlpha is written in 5 million lines of Mathematica code and runs on 10,000 CPUs, (numbers increased after launch though).



Example of what Wolfram Alpha does



For example, if a user typed in "Canada", Wolfram Alpha would output flag, location, Internet code, geographic properties, bordering countries, demographics, cultural properties, capital city, largest city, currency, and economic properties. Wolfram Alpha can also solve equations, and calculate answers to math questions.



Conclusion

7 Million is a free-to-play MMO however there is a VIP Club that players can join that offer perks, VIP Club costs a monthly fee however. 7 Million is a MMO where players can take the role of gentleman or gentlewoman thieves in Paradise City that perform heists, 7 million has no skill tables, combat, or repetitive grinding. This game is a social and puzzle type game, where players can form gangs to help each other complete daring, and spectacular heists. If your worrying about whether or not this game is only going repetitive because its all quests will be identical, don't worry, 7 Million offers a wide variety of interesting quests.

Clans

Players in 7 Million will have to choose one of the three clans to choose from, which are Cúram, Lawford Connection, and the Stimato, each clan has its own uniquely themed starting area, information about the familys can be found at http://www.7million.com/

Puzzles

In 7 Million players will have to complete puzzles to break into vaults, lockers, buildings and disable alarms, 7 Million mainly focuses on puzzles and puzzles become harder as you advance in level to the point where most missions will need more than one person to complete to become to difficult.

Deep Silver and the developer team hope to test server stability and performance more, and receive additional valuable feedback from new players. During the Beta 1.0, 7Million will keep changing and developing, as before, every update will take advantage of feedback from the players. The game contains numerous new developments, such as a login system, allowing each player to have multiple characters, tools for the various mini-games, a reputation system for missions and social quests, and many improvements to missions and performance.

Conclusion

In conclusion, 7 Million is a great game for people who like solving puzzles and want to perform spectacular heists, I had a lot of fun testing this game, but slowly lost interest even though the quests were interesting, because of the repetetive puzzles. I however recommend this game to anyone that likes puzzles and rate this game a 7/10. WarRock Review

WarRock is both a first person shooter and a third person shooter, players can choose to switch in and out whenever they wish, even during a game match. This game has many unique features different from other online first person shooters, it has a wide range of vehicles players can use such as boats, tanks, helicopters, and even fighter jets, anti aircraft turret's and anti vehicle and infantry turrets are also available. Players can also enter some buildings or even go on top of them if they wish. However players that have premium services have a huge advantage over players because they are given rather overpowered weapons.

Classes

WarRock has 5 classes assault, sniper, medic, heavy, and engineer, and players are allowed to switch between classes whenever their character respawns. Each class has its own special weapons and advantages. For example the engineer can fix vehicles, heavy can deploy mines, medic can heal fellow team mates, assault use stronger weapons, and snipers can shoot further and are more deadly at long range. There are also ranks in this game, though it is rather hard to level.

Vehicles

Vehicles in WarRock are damaged if they are crashed into anything too hardly, they may even get stuck if the wheels do not touch the ground. All vehicles respawn if destroyed or are not used for a certain amount of time after a player has used it, they however take a few minutes to respawn.

Maps

WarRock features many maps that will appeal to any type of player. Maps consist of large maps that have vehicles, to smaller maps that do not allowing players to choose what kind of game play they want, be it more vehicle based to infantry based. Every map is unique in WarRock keeping the game interesting for players.

Conclusion

In conclusion I rate this mmofps/mmotps 9/10, I recommend this game to anyone that enjoys using vehicles, and enjoys mmofps/mmotps, however be warned, this game gives a large advantage to premium players (cash shop players). Anybody can play WarRock at http://warrock.gamersfirst.com/index.php

Luna Online Review

Luna Online is a free-to-play farming, dating type MMORPG. The game's unique features are the Match Making System, this helps players find the perfect match to play with, the Family System, which lets players join or create their own family, Date instancing, allowing players to go on a dungeon run with a date, and the farm system, allowing players to operate a farm. If you only like to do quests and level don't worry, this game has features of an average MMORPG also.

Farming

Farms are owned by a family, registered by the head of the family, the head must be level 50 or above. The farm is used as a common home for the family, with an item storage shared by the whole family, as well as for growing plants harvested when ripe as usable items. Farms must be paid a rental fee, or the farm's ownership is removed. The game only has a limited number of farms available across the in each individual server.

Date Instancing

Players paired up by the Match Making System are given the chance to go to special area. These areas are used for hunting and questing, or just simply to spend time together. These will instances not have other players other than the pair.

Fishing

Fishing is done to catch fish, that are traded for fishing points, these are traded for various items. Various game elements affect the results of fishing, such as timing on the fishing bar, the weather, the location, and equipment.

Conclusion
